Wizz Air announced on Sunday that it is suspending all flights from Romania to Treviso and Bergamo as a result of the coronavirus epidemic in Italy.
Flights to this two airports will be suspended until April 3.
Wizz Air operates flights to Bergamo and Treviso from airports in Timisoara, Cluj and Bucharest.
The company stated that „passengers with prior reservations affected by this change will be informed and automatically rescheduled on an alternative route as soon as possible.”
Blue Air, another air carrier from Romania to northern Italy stated friday that: „We are experiencing a significant drop in flight demand on routes in Italy, which has led us to resize the number of flights on these routes.”
Ryanair also notified passengers that it was reducing its short haul flight program (mainly to and from Italy) by up to 25% for a 3 week period from Tues 17th Mar to Wed 8th Apr, in response to the Covid-19 Virus.
